The Jeanneau Prestige 440 Fly is the overnight-capable one — a 14-metre French flybridge cruiser with two private cabins, four berths and two bathrooms below deck. Twin engines totalling 850 HP hold a relaxed 25-knot cruise, and the saloon is fully air-conditioned, so the group stays comfortable whether the plan is a four-hour swim run or a week on the water. Half-day charters start from €1,600 per boat for up to 10 guests — licensed skipper and insurance included, with fuel charged based on usage.
The flybridge is what sets her apart at our pontoon: a second helm and an open-air lounge one deck up, with the coastline laid out on every side. Below it sits an 1,100-litre fuel tank, so range rarely dictates the route. A round trip to Mljet and its saltwater lakes is comfortably within reach, and on multi-day bookings she will press on to southern Korčula and Lastovo without stopping to refuel.
Built in 2010 and since refitted throughout, she suits groups of six to ten who want room to spread out — couples taking a cabin each, or families who would rather have a proper galley with fridge, stove and microwave than a cool box. Most half days head through the Elaphiti with two or three swim stops, and the classic photograph is her running beneath the old town walls on the way home. Departures leave from Gruž, ten minutes by taxi from the centre of Dubrovnik.
